Drugs debt torture pair facing jail for murder
TWO kidnappers who tortured a man to death over a £300 drugs debt before dumping his body in a field are facing jail.
Andrzej Kulesza disappeared in September 2010 after leaving his north London flat to go and buy milk and bread.
Shortly afterwards his girlfriend began receiving ransom demands which rose to £18,500, but she never saw him again.
A dog walker found the 27-year-old’s decomposing body seven months later near Rothersthorpe, Northants, in April, 2011.
After an Old Bailey trial Kamil Dreszer, 26, was found guilty of Kulesza’s murder while accomplice Artur Janik, 26, was cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter.
The pair were also convicted of kidnap, false imprisonment and preventing lawful burial.
Kulesza had been involved in drug dealing but owed money to a Grzegorz Misiak, who later died in a car crash in Poland.
Misiak recruited Dreszer and Janik to help kidnap the victim who was driven to Misiak’s home in Willesden, north west London where he was tortured.
Dreszer of Edmonton, east London and Janik of Walsall, West Mids, will be sentenced today. TELLY mogul Simon Cowell’s pregnant lover had an affair with her TEACHER when she just sixteen.
Lauren Silverman became involved with English tutor Steven Lewis, then 26, at her £19,000-a-year private school in Florida.
Around the same time she was best pals with schoolfriend Brooke Mueller – who would go on to marry and later divorce hellraiser Charlie Sheen.
Fans were stunned last week when it was revealed married Lauren, 37, is expecting the 53-year-old X Factor boss’s baby.
She’s believed to be 12 weeks pregnant and is facing a messy divorce from husband Andrew – Cowell’s former pal.
Jerry Raphaelson, a classmate of Lauren’s at Miami Country Day School, said: “It was a relationship that went on for a month and a half.
“Virtually all the students knew about it. She was one of the goodlooking, popular kids – part of the ‘in’ crowd.
“Steve was our English teacher. He was a very good-looking guy, high energy – personable and charismatic. Everyone loved him.
“He was as charming as can be. He was very outgoing, very social. He’d pat you on the back, give you a hug.”
According to another friend, who did not wish to be named, the liaison ended when it was discovered by Lauren’s mother, Carole.
The friend said: “I think it all blew up when Lauren’s mother picked up a phone and she heard an inappropriate conversation between her daughter and Steve.
“That’s when the sh*t hit the fan.”
Lewis was dismissed while Lauren transferred to University School, Davie, 20 miles north of Miami.
His father, Peter Lewis, said last night his son quit teaching and had to move away from the area as a result.
He said: “He had to leave town because of this bimbo. After he left the school, Steve worked for Fedex and worked for a rental car agency and then his wife got a job in Idaho over ten years ago. They have since moved to Montana.”
Ex-classmate Mr Raphaelson, 35, who now lives in Las Vegas, said: “It was hushed up. It flew like wildfire through the student body but the teachers and administration said nothing of it. Mr Lewis left immediately, and I recall Lauren leaving shortly after.’
Lauren was brought up in comfortable, middleclass surroundings. Home was a £650,000 house in the suburb of Hallandale Beach, Florida.
Her father, Steven, now 61, ran a property business while her
