Liam’s band pulls out of shows af­ter Gem trauma

LIAM Gal­lagher’s band Beady Eye have can­celled a se­ries of shows af­ter gui­tarist Gem Archer was ad­mit­ted to hos­pi­tal with “se­vere head trauma” af­ter an ac­ci­dent.

The mu­si­cian, 46, is “in a sta­ble con­di­tion but con­tin­ues to stay un­der ob­ser­va­tion”, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment on the band’s web­site.

It said: “His fam­ily, friends and band­mates thank ev­ery­one who have sent mes­sages of sup­port and well wishes so far and hope to see him back on his feet soon.”

Shows in Bel­gium and Ja­pan were can­celled af­ter the ac­ci­dent last Thurs­day.

Archer’s wife, Lou, tweeted: “Thanks for all your sup­port and well wishes dur­ing this aw­ful time.I know he will ap­pre­ci­ate it. Hope­fully he’ll be back on his feet soon. X”

Band­mate Andy Bell told fans on the so­cial net­work: “Wanna wish my brother @gemarcherbe a speedy re­cov­ery X”
