Liam’s band pulls out of shows after Gem trauma
LIAM Gallagher’s band Beady Eye have cancelled a series of shows after guitarist Gem Archer was admitted to hospital with “severe head trauma” after an accident.
The musician, 46, is “in a stable condition but continues to stay under observation”, according to a statement on the band’s website.
It said: “His family, friends and bandmates thank everyone who have sent messages of support and well wishes so far and hope to see him back on his feet soon.”
Shows in Belgium and Japan were cancelled after the accident last Thursday.
Archer’s wife, Lou, tweeted: “Thanks for all your support and well wishes during this awful time.I know he will appreciate it. Hopefully he’ll be back on his feet soon. X”
Bandmate Andy Bell told fans on the social network: “Wanna wish my brother @gemarcherbe a speedy recovery X”
