The sexy get up has topped a poll of the most pop­u­lar role play out­fits favoured by cou­ples in the UK.

As women get more sex­u­ally ad­ven­tur­ous, clas­sic dress­ing up kits like the French Maid, Naughty Nurse and Saucy Schoolgirl are fly­ing off the shelves. On­line re­tailer Love­honey. sold more than 25,000 sets in the last year – and thanks to celebs like Hugh Jack­man con­fess­ing they dress up for sex, role play is more pop­u­lar than ever.

The Aussie ac­tor, 44, ad­mit­ted he kept his Wolver­ine cos­tume on as he romped with wife De­borra Lee-Fur­ness, 57 – even the blades!

The sur­vey found that Bri­tish babes go for more tra­di­tional out­fits, with 34 per cent opt­ing for the French maid.

Next pop­u­lar is the naughty nurse out­fit, tak­ing 22 per cent of the se­duc­tion wear sales spent in 2012.

Seventeen per cent of sexy shop­pers opted for the bunny girl fol­lowed by the sexy sec­re­tary, which clocked up 11 per cent.

Girls also like be­com­ing an ar­rest­ing sight for their men, with six per cent pos­ing as a po­lice­women.

Sailor girls and pi­rates both amounted to three per cent of sales, fol­lowed by sol­dier at two per cent and nun and devil, both at one per cent.
