Tweddle bars gym career
BETH TWEDDLE has confirmed she’s retiring from gymnastics.
A year after winning Olympic bronze in the uneven bars, the 28-year-old became the latest London 2012 British medallist to call time on her career.
“It’s been a hard decision to make, gymnastics has been and always will be a massive part of my life,” Tweddle said.
“Following the Olympics, I’ve only just decided whether I could put 100 per cent into it and I now know I can’t commit to the training to remain at the very top.”
Tweddle is GB’s most decorated gymnast, being world champion three times and European champ six times.
