ARSENAL are desperate for Spurs to sell Gareth Bale – so Real Madrid don’t have enough cash left to nick Luis Suarez.

The Gunners know Liverpool striker Suarez will cost them close to £50million after a bid of £40m plus a pound was rejected.

Real are prepared to splash twice that on Bale. But, like Arsenal, they desperately need a top-class striker more than a midfielder. And Suarez is hoping the Bale deal will collapse so the Spanish giants can battle the Gunners for his signature.

If that happens Arsenal don’t stand a chance – the Uruguay hitman will choose Real.

Arsene Wenger has already been out-smarted by the Bernabeu big boys this summer.

The Gunners boss thought he had a deal in place to sign their striker Gonzalo Higuain. But he dithered, Higuain found out about their Suarez interest and Napoli nipped in to nab him.

Wenger has other moves in the pipeline. Morocco midfielder Alharbi El Jadeyaoui of French second tier outfit Angers is on trial and UAE Olympics star Omar Abdulrahman of Al Ain is also hoping of winning a contract.

One man who doesn’t look like coming in is QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who is now expected to move to Fiorentina.
