BASS READY TO RUMBLE
NORWICH skipper Sebastien Bassong is certain he’s won his fitness battle in time for Saturday’s curtain-raiser at home to Everton.
Now he’s hoping Canaries boss Chris Hughton feels the same way.
The former Tottenham defender had a knee op over the summer but is back in training now.
He said: “I was struggling for the last three or four months of last season so we managed it well to get me through.
“I had the operation and everything went fine. I’ve had my rehab and I’m back on track.
“My pre-season has been a bit different to the rest of the boys but I feel I’m ready. It’s down to the gaffer whether he feels the same.
“I know they don’t want to take any risks so we’ll see. It’s a big week. We all want to be ready for the start of the season.”
