HUGHES POTTS DIOUF ON ICE
STOKE have pulled out of a move for Hannover striker Mame Diouf after becoming frustrated with the negotiation process.
The German club have been quoting vastly different asking prices to the local press – ranging from £7million to £15m.
Now Potters chief Mark Hughes has had enough and turned his attentions to other strikers instead.
Senegal international Diouf, 25, has previously played for Man United and Blackburn.
But Stoke chief exec Tony Scholes said: “We’re aware of the coverage in Germany, which we have found surprising.”
