A long time to wait in a galaxy far, far away…

-

STAR Wars fans will have to be patient until December 2015 when the next movie hits cinemas.

Reports yesterday hinted Star Wars 7 – directed by JJ Abrams – has been pencilled-in for a Christmas release.

And with production starting at London’s Pinewood Studios early next year, it will take Abrams, 47, two years to get his space saga sequel on the big screen.

A winter release date would move Episode VII away from a busy summer of 2015 – with The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Superman vs Batman and Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 all due to be unleashed.

Abrams is currently working on the script for Episode VII with writers Michael Arndt, Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg and producer Kath Kennedy.

Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are all expected to reprise their roles from George Lucas’ original trilogy. Celebs beware - she’s here there and everywhere! Which one-
