RANGERS STAR ‘BET AGAINST OWN TEAM’ He could face £1mil­lion fine!

GLAS­GOW Rangers star Ian Black is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated over claims he bet against his own club to LOSE – and he could face a £1mil­lion fine and a life­time ban from football.

The mid­fielder is also ac­cused of bet­ting on 10 more games in­volv­ing his teams and nearly 150 other wa­gers.

Play­ers reg­is­tered in Scot­land are BANNED from bet­ting on any football match.

Black is ac­cused by the Scot­tish Football As­so­ci­a­tion of putting cash on his own team not to win games on three oc­ca­sions be­tween March 4, 2006 and July 28, 2013.

The Ibrox club has launched its own probe and Black, 28, has un­til next Mon­day to re­spond.

He is also due to face an SFA dis­ci­plinary hear­ing at Ham­p­den Park on Septem­ber 12.
