Al quick off mark with crap talk

Midweek Sport - - SPORT -

IT didn’t take long for football pundits to start talking shite. Alan Shearer was so desperate to do it, he didn’t wait for the Premier League to kick off.

Speaking about Newcastle United on Radio 5 Live last Friday, the Geordie baldie mused: “I don’t think it’s a healthy thing to have too many French players in one dressing room. If things start to go against you, then little cliques appear.”

Presumably, English players don’t form cliques, or players of any other nationality for that matter.

Arsenal’s 2003-4 squad included six Frenchmen, in addition to boss Arsene Wenger, and they won the league after going 38 games unbeaten.

Just saying, Al.
