Mur­ray gets through his China cri­sis

ANDY MUR­RAY fought back from a set down to de­feat Jerzy Janow­icz 6-7 (11/9) 6-4 6-2 and book his place in the sec­ond round of the China Open.

Mur­ray looked out of sorts in the open­ing set, go­ing 5-1 down be­fore start­ing to find his range.

But Pole Janow­icz claimed it on a tie-break.

The sec­ond set went Mur­ray’s way thanks to a sin­gle break, be­fore he dom­i­nated the third to claim vic­tory.

The Scot’s win, which came in two hours and 28 min­utes, set up a clash with gi­ant Amer­i­can John Is­ner.
