CRAIG HAS BAGGED A NEW DEAL
WEST BROM have handed a new three-year deal to defender Craig Dawson – just six weeks after he appeared certain to leave.
The Baggies turned down a series of bids for the 24-year-old from Burnley.
And Dawson has responded with a series of good displays starting in all six of West Brom’s league games so far.
Boss Alan Irvine said: “Obviously Craig was very unsettled when I first arrived in the summer, but we as a club were never interested in selling him.
“We felt he had the potential to be a top centre-back and once he knew he wasn’t going anywhere, he put in very good performances.
“Getting a new deal, which he deserves, completes a great start to the season for him.”
