ACTION movie hero Denzel Washington has told film fans: “I’m NOT dead!”

The star of new flick The Equalizer was responding to cruel internet rumours that he’d perished in a recent skiing accident.

But the 59-year-old laughed: “The craziest rumour I’ve heard about myself lately is that I’m dead.

“There was a story going around that I’d died in a skiing accident.

“People were calling my telephone and when I answered they’d be surprised… ’D-D-Denzel? Is that you?!’ “I don’t even ski!” Meanwhile the Training Day actor has taken a swipe at other thesps who bitch and moan about being famous.

He rapped: “An old West Indian woman once told me, ‘When you pray for the rain and the rain comes, you’ve got to deal with the mud, too. But eventually good things do grow out of that mud’.

“This is my life – and it ain’t that bad.”
