I just want Arfa chance
HATEM BEN ARFA says he is ready to strut his stuff for Hull – now he is finally fully fit.
The French midfielder has not started a Premier League match since March and was ordered to train with the youth team at Newcastle by boss Alan Pardew before his loan switch to the Tigers.
The 27-year-old has made two league sub appearances for Steve Bruce’s side and now feels ready to show what he can do.
Hull face Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday and Ben Arfa said: “My fitness levels have improved an awful lot since I first arrived at this club.
“They have got better with each training session. I have worked specifically on sessions to improve my fitness. That has worked and I’m at a level where I want to be so that I can make an impact on the team. “I am ready to show how I can play.” Ben Arfa says his confidence has soared now he is being shown some love by Hull boss Bruce.
“I am back training with fellow professionals every single day, which makes me happy,” he added.
“I feel as though I’ve been given a new lease of life under Steve Bruce and the coaching staff here.
“It’s important for any player, at every level of the game, that his manager wants him. Steve Bruce wants me and that makes me happy.”
