PETE SAYS HURT IS OVER AFTER TWISTED COLON

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

PETER CLARKE found his latest stomach-churning injury hard to digest after being diagnosed with a TWISTED COLON.

The Blackpool defender lost more than a stone after suffering the freak knock to his intestine against Watford last month.

But after rest and treatment, centre-back Clarke has avoided the need for surgery.

And he is in line to return from a four-game absence against his old club Huddersfield on Saturday.

The 32-year-old revealed: “I felt pain during the Watford match, and felt ill afterwards.

“But it took a while to identify exactly what had happened.

“I’m feeling a lot better, I’m back in training and desperate to play.”
