SIEM’S JONG ROAD BACK
CROCKED Newcastle striker Siem de Jong has revealed he hopes to be back after Christmas.
The Dutchman has finally been able to put a timescale on his return from a serious groin injury.
And it’s not good news for under-pressure boss Alan Pardew, who will be without his £6million summer signing from Ajax for another two months.
De Jong, 25, revealed: “I can slowly start building up my strength and start walking without crutches.
“There’s still a couple of months to go, but I’m going to work hard and I’m sure I’ll come back stronger.”
