CESC: OUR SLUMP IS OVER
CESC FABREGAS has fired out a title warning to Man City, insisting Chelsea are back on track.
The Stamford Bridge side were caught by their rivals after Jose Mourinho’s men drew against Southampton and lost at Spurs.
But Chelsea have roared back, beating Watford in the FA Cup and following that up with a 2-0 home league win over Newcastle.
Mourinho’s side now have a two-point lead in the table and Fabregas insists the mini slump is over as they prepare to travel to Swansea this weekend.
The Spanish midfielder said: “There is never complacency at Chelsea, we just want to win every game. Of course, that’s not possible through the season. There are many, many games.
“You can always have a bad day and things won’t go your way. But we are ready. Some of us had a little break.
“We have recovered from the Christmas schedule. It was tough, but we feel we had a few days’ rest.
“Losing to Spurs was a shock, but when you watch the game again you see that every chance they had, they scored.
“Things didn’t go our way, but credit to Tottenham, they played a good game. But that’s it, we are just looking to move forward now.”
