Dead drug share teen’s dad jailed

A DAD was jailed yes­ter­day af­ter shar­ing drugs with his teenage daugh­ter dur­ing a two-day binge and fail­ing to take her to hos­pi­tal hours be­fore she died.

Ja­son Wilkes, 45, took ec­stasy and co­caine with 17-year-old Chloe, then drove her around to cool her down af­ter she fell ill on July 26 – in­stead of to the near­est hos­pi­tal.

He also at­tempted CPR when she stopped breath­ing, be­fore fi­nally call­ing an am­bu­lance in the early hours of the morn­ing, more than an hour af­ter she fell ill.

How­ever, Chloe died in hos­pi­tal around 6am.

Wilkes, of Ash­ford, Kent, ad­mit­ted a charge of un­law­ful man­slaugh­ter at Can­ter­bury Crown Court and was jailed for five years and four months.

He ad­mit­ted sup­ply­ing a class A drug at an ear­lier hear­ing.
