Dead drug share teen’s dad jailed
A DAD was jailed yesterday after sharing drugs with his teenage daughter during a two-day binge and failing to take her to hospital hours before she died.
Jason Wilkes, 45, took ecstasy and cocaine with 17-year-old Chloe, then drove her around to cool her down after she fell ill on July 26 – instead of to the nearest hospital.
He also attempted CPR when she stopped breathing, before finally calling an ambulance in the early hours of the morning, more than an hour after she fell ill.
However, Chloe died in hospital around 6am.
Wilkes, of Ashford, Kent, admitted a charge of unlawful manslaughter at Canterbury Crown Court and was jailed for five years and four months.
He admitted supplying a class A drug at an earlier hearing.
