BRUCE HAS NO STRIKER SOLUTION
HULL boss Steve Bruce admits it’s tough going to find a striker who can save his job.
Last January, Bruce pulled off a double masterstroke in signing Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic.
But Long was then flogged to Southampton at the end of August and Jelavic is crocked.
Bruce is desperate to bring in a new frontman before the window shuts, with the Tigers stuck in the drop zone.
But with little cash to spend, he is currently fighting a losing battle.
Bruce – who was priced out of a move for Jermain Defoe – admitted: “The frustration is that it’s difficult because where are they?
“Where are the centreforwards for limited money or on loan?
“Hopefully we will discover something.”
