HATS off to Channel 5 and the

team for providing the TV moment of the year so far.

On Saturday night they showed Keith Chegwin desperately trying to make his housemates laugh – and failing miserably.

As a spectacle, this episode was far crueller than any of the shouty “bullying” bore-fest that has dominated the show to date – and much funnier.

Watch it on replay if you dare. I swear it is that excruciating, your meat and two veg will retract so far back into you that you could host
