Gaya next on list as Ars plugs his holes
WHIZZKID: Jose Luis Gaya ARSENAL aim to complete the rebuilding of their defence this month by snapping up Valencia whizzkid Jose Luis Gaya.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already raided Spain for Villarreal centre-back Gabriel Paulista.
The Brazilian was granted a work permit, even though he has never played for his country and will cost £11.3million.
Right-back Gaya is only 19, but has been a revelation in La Liga this season and has a £13.5m buy-out clause.
Valencia are stalling by tempting the player with a new deal.
Also in Wenger’s sights is Borussia Dortmund utility man Kevin Grosskreutz, who is on Manchester United’s radar.
The 26-year-old, who can play in midfield and defence, is available for just £3.7m.
It has been claimed that Grosskreutz is an Arsenal fan and will snub advances from Old Trafford to join Wenger.
The Frenchman is eyeing him as a successor to Mikel Arteta, whose contract expires in the summer.
