Boy, 17, dies af­ter tak­ing ‘ec­stasy’

A TEENAGER has died in hos­pi­tal af­ter tak­ing what he thought was ec­stasy.

Toby Fair­clough, 17, had a heart attack on play­ing fields in North Marston, Bucks, be­fore be­ing rushed to Stoke Man­dev­ille hos­pi­tal.

His fam­ily said the death of their “cher­ished, sporty, ebul­lient child” has “left a huge hole” in their lives.

A post-mortem will take place next week.

A Thames Val­ley Po­lice spokesman said: “We be­lieve Toby di­gested a sub­stance which he be­lieved to be the il­le­gal drug MDMA (ec­stasy). MOSTLY dry through the morn­ing with some sun, mainly in the south.
