TELLY pop quiz Never Mind the Buz­zcocks has been axed by the BBC af­ter 28 se­ries.

It has been hosted by comics Rhod Gil­bert, Simon Am­stell and Mark La­marr and reg­u­larly fea­tured Phill Jupi­tus ( above), Sean Hughes and Noel Field­ing as cap­tains.

High­lights from the BBC Two show in­clude the 2007 episode where Or­di­nary Boys singer Pre­ston walked off af­ter Am­stell read ex­tracts from the au­to­bi­og­ra­phy of his then-wife, Chantelle Houghton.

Fun Lovin’ Crim­i­nals front­man Huey Mor­gan once smashed his mug and walked off when hosts, Riz­zle Kicks, poked fun at him.

A Beeb spokes­woman said: “We’d like to thank all the bril­liant hosts over the years.”
