Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

TWO stunt motorcyclists have been taken to hospital after colliding in mid-air at a circus.

Audience members had to be evacuated after the crash at Uncle Sam’s Great American Circus in Chantry Park, Ipswich.

The men were riding a Wall of Death when the accident happened.

Medics from East Anglia Air Ambulance treated the riders before they were taken to Ipswich Hospital.

They were last night said to be stable.

The circus later posted a statement on its Facebook page saying: “To all our audience from the 4.30pm show today, we would just like to thank you all for your support during the accident with our thunderball riders.

“We want to thank you for your understanding as we cut short the show.”
