WAS BB KILLED? Cops won’t probe family’s claims

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

POLICE have ruled out an investigation into the death of BB King after claims by his family that he had been murdered.

Two of his daughters say that King’s two closest aides poisoned their father.

But lieutenant Ray Steiber said any police action would depend on the findings of results of forensic tests, which will take up to eight weeks.

Coroner John Fudenberg insisted there was no evidence to support allegations made by his daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King. three separate doctors had determined King was properly cared for by medical professionals “up until the time that he peacefully passed away in his sleep”.

Williams and King allege that Toney – named in King’s will as executor of an estate worth tens of millions of dollars – stopped them from visiting King.

The daughters said: “We believe our father was poisoned. We believe he was murdered.”
