‘Big boy’ had socks stuffed in his pants
A SHOPLIFTER left security guards thinking he was very pleased to see them when he stuck a load of SOCKS down his underpants.
And when police tweeted about arresting the man they wrote, “Hey big boy. Man arrested shoplifting Market St yesterday who had stuffed £40 worth socks down his trousers.”
He was nicked after security guards caught the man at a shop in Manchester.
Police said they took no further action.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman added: “A 27-year-old man was detained by security staff after stealing £40 worth of socks and concealing down trousers.
“Police attended. The store will be taking further action under civil recovery process. The man was not detained.”
