Robbing poor will make us next Syria

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

BRITAIN will become the next Syria if George Osborne has his way.

I can’t believe the Chancellor wants to cut £1,300 a year from the poorest people by taking money from the welfare budget.

I’m glad the Lords have delayed it. If it goes ahead people with young children won’t be able to afford to live, what are they going to do?

Families are already having to use food banks to survive, we are going to end up with people begging in the streets and starving like in Syria and Afghanistan.

It’s ridiculous because at the same time the government is meeting with the Chinese leaders and throwing expensive parties.

It’s upsetting that George doesn’t seem to care.

I was also shocked to hear about all the job losses in the steel industry – that’s hundreds of people all out of work just before Christmas.

It’s short-sighted if you ask me because we still want to build things and will end up buying it all from elsewhere, which is stupid.
