MATCH OF THE GAY! Lineker jokes about joining Grindr sex site
LOVE-SPLIT footie legend Gary Lineker has joked about joining a GAY dating website.
The Match of the Day host split from wife of six years Danielle, 36, back in January.
And despite ‘flying solo’, the former England striker said he won’t be joining online dating app Tinder.
But in a bizarre confession Gary said that he may consider ‘ changing teams’ – and use the popular gay dating app Grindr.
He said: “I’m not on Tinder, maybe I should consider Grindr?” SINGLE: Gary items out for me.”
The former Leicester player hit the headlines when he vowed to present the BBC One footie show in his underpants if the Foxes won the Premier League title this season.
And Leicester City walked away with the title for the first time in their 130-year history last week.
Lineker said last week: “In December I categorically knew there was zero chance that Leicester would win. I’m in good shape. For an old bastard. I’ll probably work out for the two weeks beforehand very hard.”
But in the first show since the win, Gary disappointed fans by appearing in front of the cameras fully clothed.
Twitter user Eleanor Guerin posted: “Mum’s dead disappointed Gary Lineker didn’t come out in his pants on Match of the Day.”
But the BBC later told viewers that the nude vow will be carried out on the first day of next season.
