Stolen goat seller nicked
INVESTIGATORS have arrested a budding wheeler dealer accused of selling stolen GOATS from the boot of his car.
Police started work on the case back in May when someone rang authorities to report five of the animals missing.
The owner said he heard about someone selling the animals near his home so tracked down the accused and took back the stolen goats.
Detectives also met with a witness, who told them a man in a white Ford stopped by his home and sold him four goats from the boot of his car.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office nicked Jorge Torres, 18, of Edinburg, Texas last week, and the witness identified him as the man who sold him the stolen goats.
Torres was charged with theft of fewer than ‘10 head of livestock worth less than $20,000’.
