OAPs unhappy at lack of sex
A LACK of sex is one of the biggest distresses for people over 60 in Britain.
Research found that a significant proportion (11 per cent) of those quizzed were unhappy with their lives in one way or another.
The study asked those who said they were unhappy to choose reasons from a list of common complaints.
And more than a quarter (26 per cent) named not having an active sex life as a major cause of unhappiness – voted as more of a worry than being housebound or being widowed.
The study was commissioned by Homewise, a housing financier for retired people, whose director Mark Neal said: “As people live longer, they want to be more active in later years, which includes things like sex.”
