Girls Aloud Sarah to star in Ghost

GIRLS Aloud singer Sarah Hard­ing will make her stage de­but in a new pro­duc­tion of Ghost The Musical.

She will play the lead op­po­site Hol­lyoaks ac­tor Andy Moss, who starred as Rhys Ash­worth in the Chan­nel 4 soap for eight years.

The musical is based on the 1990 ro­man­tic fan­tasy thriller star­ring Pa­trick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Gold­berg.

Bill Ken­wright’s new pro­duc­tion fol­lows the orig­i­nal Ghost The Musical, which pre­miered in the West End in 2011 be­fore trans­fer­ring to Broad­way.

With a fresh cast, it fea­tures an ex­panded book, new mu­sic and orig­i­nal stag­ing.

The show will tour the UK this au­tumn, open­ing at the New Wim­ble­don Theatre on Septem­ber 1.

Hard­ing said the movie was “one of my all-time favourites”.

The 34-year-old for­mer pop star’s act­ing cred­its have in­cluded Freefall, Coro­na­tion Street St Trini­ans 2. THE Ir­ish name for jel­ly­fish is which lit­er­ally trans­lates as ‘seal’s snot’. and
