Man arrested over fatal cafe stabbing
A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death at a north-west London cafe.
The 48-year-old was knifed at Efes Cafe in Kilburn at around 7pm on Monday.
He was taken to hospital but died just over an hour later. His family have been told.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to a police station in north London, Scotland Yard said.
Detectives know who the victim is, but formal identification has not yet taken place.
Manager of the nearby Good Ship, John McCooke, said three of his staff had seen the attack.
He said: “A young guy stabbed the owner. A couple of pensioners tried to fight him off and one was covered in blood.”
