Kesha pulls Dr Luke sex case claim

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

KESHA has dropped a lawsuit in California alleging that producer Dr Luke sexually and emotionally abused her, but a similar case will remain in New York.

The dismissal of the Los Angeles case comes amid an effort by the singer to get new singles and an album released despite her high-profile fight with her former mentor.

Her lawyer said she can now focus her legal efforts in New York, where she has also sued the producer alleging he ridiculed her for nearly a decade and at one point drugged and raped her.

Dr Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, says Kesha is suing to try for a better record deal.

Kesha’s career has been in limbo since she first sued Dr Luke in October 2014, alleging his abuse caused her to go into rehab.

Dr Luke has never been charged with any crime and has denied he abused the singer.

He has produced some of the biggest hits of the past decade, with stars including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Nicki Minaj. THE average person in the UK talks about the weather 44 times a month to 18 other people.
