A BRITISH woman is fighting for her life after she fell on a dance floor at a Greek nightclub and a 15-stone gas canister toppled from the bar onto her face.

Invoice clerk Laurie Jay Balfour, from Edlington, S Yorks, was partying with friends two days into her holiday in Zante when the freak accident happened.

The 25-yearold ( above) is now in a coma after being airlifted to hospital in Athens, where medics performed emergency brain surgery to save her life.

Ms Balfour had just gone onto the dance floor with pals at a club on the Laganas Strip party zone when she fell.

She dislodged a nitrogen gas cylinder which her friend said was just ‘perched’ on the bar.

Witnesses said that there was so much blood pouring from Ms Balfour that it looked like “a murder scene”. WHEN trying out a new pen, 97 per cent of people write their own name.
