Olympic Becky ‘in 4-letter shocker’
SWIM SWEAR: Becky and Mark LATE-night Olympic viewers were stunned when medallist Becky Adlington seemed to tell co-host Mark Foster to ‘f**k off’ live on TV.
The 27-year-old appeared to shout the expletive after former world champ and fellow swimmer Foster mocked her for “only winning a bronze” at the London Olympics.
Viewers turned to social media to express their consternation at what they’d apparently just witnessed on the BBC coverage.
One user tweeted: “More BBC swimming commentary fun. Rebecca Adlington just told Mark Foster to f**k off. Luckily it’s around 3.20am in the UK.”
Another said: “Did Rebecca Adlington just say f**k off live on the telly? That’ll be cut from the replays when the easily outraged awake.”
While some were shocked when they first heard the possible expletive, on a repeat listen it sounds more like ‘back off’.
An alleged blossoming romance between the pair – combined with controversy over Helen Skelton’s ‘racy’ outfits – means the presenters seem to be attracting more attention than competitors in the pool.
The rumours about the pair’s flourishing attraction were sparked when Becky appeared to rub Mark’s thigh under the table on Sunday.
