Keeper in­jured in fan’s pitch at­tack

A FAN ran on the pitch and at­tacked a player dur­ing a top-tier league match, forc­ing the game to be aban­doned.

Oster­sunds goal­keeper Aly Keita was struck by the fan in the 90th minute of their game away to Jonkop­ings So­dra in Swe­den.

Footage shows Keita run­ning from his penalty area when he sees the fan pur­su­ing him, then ly­ing on the pitch about 30 me­tres from his goal af­ter be­ing struck.

Keita was treated for a slight head in­jury.

Po­lice ar­rested a 17-year-old male from Soder­talje, near Stock­holm.

Swe­den’s top ref­eree, Jonas Eriks­son, took the teams off the pitch be­fore aban­don­ing the match.

The Swedish foot­ball fed­er­a­tion said it could award a 3-0 win to Oster­sunds.
