Keeper injured in fan’s pitch attack
A FAN ran on the pitch and attacked a player during a top-tier league match, forcing the game to be abandoned.
Ostersunds goalkeeper Aly Keita was struck by the fan in the 90th minute of their game away to Jonkopings Sodra in Sweden.
Footage shows Keita running from his penalty area when he sees the fan pursuing him, then lying on the pitch about 30 metres from his goal after being struck.
Keita was treated for a slight head injury.
Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Sodertalje, near Stockholm.
Sweden’s top referee, Jonas Eriksson, took the teams off the pitch before abandoning the match.
The Swedish football federation said it could award a 3-0 win to Ostersunds.
