Australia cringes at minge ad!

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

AUSSIES have been left stunned after a new tourism advert used the word C**T.

A controversial design surfaced last week by the Northern Territory tourism industry hope that the new advert will reverse the declining visitor numbers.

It is not affiliated with the government body, Tourism NT, but the brash slogan which reads “C U in the N T” has made waves since its release.

However, some folk have been less than impressed with the rude campaign with one declaring it “an absolute f**king embarrassment.”

In response to questions about the advert, a spokesman said: “This campaign was born out of love for the Northern Territory and its people.

“We have removed any images that may be deemed offensive out of respect.”

Thousands of people descend on Australia every year but the Northern Territory – famous for Ayers Rock, now called Uluru, and its desolate outback landscape hasn’t seen its tourism numbers improve since 2000.

The group behind the brazen ad hope it will help attract young travellers.
