Boy, 14, among 13 held over teen mur­der

THIR­TEEN peo­ple, in­clud­ing a 14-year-old boy, have been charged with the mur­der of a teenager.

Ab­dul Hafi­dah ( above), 18, was found with stab wounds to the neck and ab­dom­i­nal in­juries in Moss Side, Manch­ester, on May 12.

He died in hospi­tal two days later.

In a state­ment re­leased af­ter his death, Mr Hafi­dah’s fam­ily said: “Ab­dul was a com­posed and car­ing son, who bought us all so much joy.

“You felt his pres­ence when he was there and you missed it when­ever he wasn’t. His strength was in his loy­alty to his fam­ily and friends, and hon­esty when he spoke.

“What we hold on to is how spe­cial he made us all feel.”

Po­lice be­lieved Mr Hafi­dah was hit by a car af­ter be­ing chased.

Eleven adults who are charged with his mur­der are due to ap­pear at Manch­ester and Sal­ford Mag­is­trates’ Court,

Two boys, aged 14 and 17, who can­not be named for le­gal rea­sons, have also been charged.
