A MAN has been warned not to eat CHRIST­MAS PUD­DING af­ter be­ing fit­ted with an AL­CO­HOL de­tec­tion tag.

Michael Huck­step was ar­rested af­ter get­ting drunk and bar­ri­cad­ing him­self into his home on Oc­to­ber 30 this year.

Croy­don JPs heard how 58-year-old got into a row with his wife af­ter drink­ing at home in Ad­dis­combe, south Lon­don, and po­lice were called af­ter neigh­bours re­ported shout­ing and scream­ing.

Mag­is­trates warned Huck­step that the al­co­hol de­tec­tion tag would pick up ‘ minute lev­els of al­co­hol’ and he must avoid Christ­mas pud and any foods which con­tain al­co­hol over the fes­tive pe­riod. He was warned if the tag de­tects any al­co­hol in his sys­tem over the next 120 days he could face prison.
