Jag workers accept mega deal
Workers at Jaguar Land Rover have overwhelmingly backed a two-year pay deal described as “exceptional” by their union.
Unite said its members voted by 77 per cent to accept a rise of 3.5% plus a £750 bonus, followed by an inflation-proofed retail price index increase plus 0.5% rise in year two.
The deal, which runs from the start of this month, affects workers at JLR’s plants in Castle Bromwich, Coventry, Halewood, Solihull and Wolverhampton.
Unite officer Roger Maddison said: “This exceptional pay deal is no less than the workforce deserve.”
