RUB­BING DOWN: Ta­nia Wil­liams A PHYS­IO­THER­A­PIST has been sus­pended for hav­ing sex with two rugby play­ers she treated.

Mum-of-three Ta­nia Wil­liams ad­mit­ted pro­fes­sional mis­con­duct when she be­gan sex­ual re­la­tion­ships with the play­ers from two rugby or­gan­i­sa­tions she worked for.

The charge was brought against her af­ter one of the men, the sec­ond man’s wife and an of­fi­cial with the rugby or­gan­i­sa­tions filed com­plaints.

Ms Wil­liams was in a re­la­tion­ship with ‘Mr R’ from May to July in 2014 and be­gan a re­la­tion­ship with ‘Mr M’ be­tween late Septem­ber and Oc­to­ber the same year.

A Health Prac­ti­tion­ers Dis­ci­plinary Tri­bunal in Auck­land, New Zealand, heard: “Ms Wil­liams pro­vided Mr R with phys­io­ther­apy ser­vices, in­clud­ing rub­bing down his calves and ham­strings be­fore rugby games.”

The re­la­tion­ship be­gan af­ter Ms Wil­liams in­vited Mr R to her home to talk about trou­bles she was hav­ing with her boyfriend.

The tri­bunal was told: “Ms Wil­liams pro­vided Mr R with al­co­hol and food. Later they had sex. Ms Wil­liams and Mr R
