‘Farting passengers made me speed’ taxi driver told cops... STEP ON THE GAS!

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

A CABBIE blamed FARTING passengers for his speeding.

Police stopped a taxi driver over the weekend because he was speeding around town.

And he laid the blame with his stinky farts.

Dorset traffic police shared the bizarre excuse for speeding on their Facebook page.

They said: “Just when you thought you’ve heard it all – two excuses from this evening that didn’t work. A taxi driver failed to notice the large marked traffic car in his rear view mirror when speeding through Bournemouth town.

“When stopped, the driver blamed it on the flatulence from his three paying passengers for the reason he sped.”

Unimpressed by his somewhat inventive excuse, officers gave him a speeding ticket and explained he would be fined £100 and given three points.

It seems Dorset Police were busy on Friday evening as they had another bloke who gave them a daft excuse.

One driver, distracted by his mobile, drove through a no-entry area and down the entire length of a one-way street the WRONG way.

He claimed he was in the process of answering his phone and panicked – when he saw the police so turned down the first road he came to.
