Foiled by long neck of the law
A GROUP of giraffes floored an alleged shoplifter when they saw him fleeing from a store’s security guards in Brixton, south London.
One of the wild troop was 29-year-old off-duty policeman Ben Perkins, who was dressed as a giraffe for a bar crawl across the city.
However, their drinking was temporarily cut short when Ben and his group of mates, who were all dressed as giraffes, stuck their necks out and pinned the alleged thief to the pavement.
Scotland Yard confirmed a man had been arrested on suspicion of theft and enquiries are ongoing.
None of the ‘giraffes’ were injured.
