Man held over Frank son’s death
NIGHT OUT OF ORDER: Tess with Jeremy in Dublin A MAN has been arrested over a crash in which the son of Frank Sidebottom creator Chris Sievey died.
Harry Sievey ( above), 24, was one of two cyclists involved in a collision with a Corsa in Withington, Manchester, on Sunday night.
Online tributes have been paid to the popular musician, whose late father found fame in the 1980s with the distinctive comedy character and his large papier mâché head.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident after they arrested a 61-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The crash happened shortly before 10.15pm, and the other cyclist, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Sgt Lee Westhead of Greater Manchester Police said: “We are currently investigating the full circumstances of this collision.
“It is key we now try and establish exactly what happened and I would urge anyone who saw the collision to please call my team.” THE button was invented more than 1,000 years before the buttonhole.
