Cops seize cops in drugs raids

TWO cops have been ar­rested in a drugs bust.

West Mid­lands Po­lice counter-cor­rup­tion unit de­tained the male con­sta­bles, aged 47 and 35, in raids yes­ter­day.

Both of­fi­cers – based at Perry Barr, Birm­ing­ham – were seized in con­nec­tion with con­spir­acy to steal and to sup­ply drugs, and con­spir­acy to com­mit mis­con­duct in a pub­lic of­fice.

A man, 42, and woman, 36, from Derby, and a man, 28, from Alum Rock, were held in con­nec­tion with con­spir­acy to com­mit mis­con­duct in a pub­lic of­fice, con­spir­acy to steal and to sup­ply drugs.

A man, 42, from Wash­wood Heath, a man, 27, from Alum Rock, and a man, 25, from As­ton, were seized in con­nec­tion with con­spir­acy to com­mit mis­con­duct in a pub­lic of­fice.
