Thrones stars get £2M a show!
BIG FIVE IN PAY WINDFALL
THE top five stars in Game of Thrones are being paid a whopping £2MILLION per episode for the final two series of the hit show.
The wage packets make them the highestpaid actors in television history, eclipsing the stars of Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
Reportedly signed up to the megabucks deal are Brit actress Emilia Clarke (who plays Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), US star Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister).
Bonuses
The contracts aren’t just wages though – they involve complex bonuses based on how well the show does in the 170 countries where it is broadcast.
That’s not a bad deal for dicking about with dragons and getting your tits out.
The show is back for series seven on June 25 and is set to be the biggest yet.
The last series, broadcast on Sky Atlantic, pulled in five million viewers –a 40 per cent increase on the previous series.
And producers say the new series is big budget, with HBO spending $10million on each episode, up from $6m an episode in season six.
