Second arrest in Lindsay Jo case

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a teenage girl more than 20 years ago.

Lindsay Jo Rimer ( above), 13, was last seen on November 7, 1994 when she went to buy cornflakes from a shop in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.

Her body was found in the Rochdale Canal five months later.

The 68-year-old man, from Bradford, was arrested on Tuesday.

A man aged 63, who was arrested in November on suspicion of Lindsay’s murder, remains on police bail while inquiries continue.

Last year, new forensic leads in the cold and Det Supt Simon Atkinson said at the time that they were waiting for the “golden nugget of information that will finally crack the case”.
