Jail for scissors stab attacker who blinded victim, 17
A TEENAGER who left a boy blind in one eye after stabbing him with a pair of SCISSORS during a college lesson has been jailed for nine years.
Michael Jones, 18, from Widnes, Cheshire, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and having an offensive weapon.
Liverpool Crown Court heard Jones and two friends – Jamie Grimes, 17, and Lewis Connor, 18 – had an ongoing dispute with the 17-year-old victim and went in search of him at Riverside College in Widnes.
Jones (above) walked into a classroom where a lesson was taking place and attacked the boy with scissors, stabbing him in the eye, chest and hand.
Grimes, who repeatedly hit the victim, was sentenced to five years after admitting causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Connor was given a 12-month community order for using aggressive language in a threatening manner. ASTRONAUTS are not allowed to eat beans before they go into space as passing wind damages their spacesuits.
