Swearing closes pub!
A PUB landlord threw out all his customers and locked the doors after one punter was heard breaking a brewery’s swearing ban.
Brewer Samuel Smith, which owns around 300 boozers in the UK, have decided to ban all its customers from using bad language.
But last week every drinker in the Arlington Hotel, in Loftus, North Yorks, was ordered to leave after the landlord overheard foul language in the beer garden.
Witnesses say the manager burst through the doors of the pub and ordered “everybody out” before staff were told to clear the bar.
“Then he turned to the girl behind the bar and said, ‘Shut this bar and get everybody out’.”
The manager of Samuel Smith’s other pub in Loftus, The Golden Lion, confirmed that the Arlington Hotel had closed because of the company swearing policy.
