Vegan killer’s bellyache over prison ‘ration’

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

A VEGAN murderer has whinged he’s not getting enough fruit in his ‘prison vegan pack’.

Graham Coutts, from Fife, was jailed for life in 2004 after using a pair of tights to strangle 31-year-old classical musician Jane Longhurst at his home in Brighton, East Sussex.

The 49-year-old salesman, who was obsessed with extreme porn, hid her body in a cardboard box in his garden shed for more than a week before moving it to a self-storage centre.

Writing on his blog – which he gets pals on the outside to publish online – he said that Prison Service rules state that ‘various nuts, seeds and fruit should be included’, but that the HMP Wakefield vegan pack came up short.

He said: “Due to me being on a medical low fat diet, the peanut butter, nuts and seeds have been removed from my vegan pack, but not replaced.

“For the past 10 months I’ve been getting less food than every other vegan in this prison.”
